Alzheimer's disease is an irreversible, progressive brain disorder that slowly destroys memory and thinking skills, and ultimately the ability to carry out the simplest tasks. You can prevent dementia naturally with these easy tips. The signs of Alzheimer's disease are often subtle at first. One of the earliest is a decline in short-term memory, which may be misdiagnosed as a less serious condition such as depression or the side effects of medication. Other possible symptoms include becoming more easily confused and disoriented, experiencing personality changes and trouble communicating. Dementia is a serious medical condition that causes problems with memory, thinking and behavior. It's not normal to lose your memory as you get older.
